For those who remember when we were located on Church Street, this is the same course that was presented by Judy and Joey at that time. This informaton was passed down to Judy by her mentor, Vinny Gaglione, the original owner of the renowned metaphysical shop, Spellbound.

About the teachers:

Judy Nerbetski (MayaKalia) was raised in a home open to psychic development and phenomena, and has formally pursued her studies of magick and psychic development for well over 18 years, studying and attaining initiation under a variety of priests and priestesses, in several Wiccan traditions, as well as the Yoruba pantheon. Her interest in multicultural studies (she has long been a teacher of Social Studies/Multicultural Education) is also reflected in her magickal and religious studies. She has background knowledge in such varied traditions as Italian, Hindu and West African magick and ritual. She has written, designed and participated in rituals for circles, a small coven and a large pagan church, as well as developed their "intro package" and curriculum, and contributed to their ongoing newsletter. She also managed Spellbound metaphysical shop in NJ for over a year, and is the proprietor of Everything Akasha, which produces magickal blends of incense, oils, soaps, etc., as well as teaches classes.

Karen Aistars has been interested in the occult since she was in grammar school borrowing astrology books, tarot cards and the Ouija board from her older sisters. She has been seeing spirits ever since she was a little girl growing up in her parent's home that had a resident ghost. Her interest in Wicca and magick was sparked in her early twenties after visiting Spellbound, a local metaphysical shop, and she has acquired her knowledge on various subjects from many sources and teachers over the years. Karen creates the store's magickal oil and incense blends, mojo bags, Enchanted Spell candles and more that are available at the shop. She has been practicing magick and Wicca now for over thirteen years and is the owner of Mystic Spirit Metaphysical Shoppe.
